How the OLN contractor system works
Step 2
We send a blind preview
When a homeowner requests service, you receive the job type, area, scope, and timing by email — no homeowner contact info yet.
Step 3
You accept or pass
You have 12 business hours to review the lead. If it's not a fit, pass — you owe nothing.
Step 4
Contact released on acceptance
Once you accept, homeowner contact details are unlocked and the referral fee is applied to your account.

OLN charges a flat referral fee when you Accept a lead. The fee is based on the homeowner's estimated job value and is set before you see the lead preview. You are never charged for leads you Pass on.

Your locked-in rate is always visible before you Accept a lead. Disputes accepted within 48 hours for: duplicate lead, out-of-area, out-of-scope, or verified spam/fake.
Preferred Partner option
Invitation OnlyElected per lead at Accept · $0 upfront · Commission on close · Monthly close reporting on Preferred-elected leads.
For each lead we send you, you'll see two Accept buttons: Accept (Standard flat fee) and Accept as Preferred Partner (commission on close). Pick per lead — there's no requirement to be consistent. On Preferred-elected leads, you pay nothing at Accept and instead pay a single referral commission after the job closes, based on the final invoiced job value.

Cap: Referral commissions are capped at $1,500 per lead for jobs under $50,000. For jobs of $50,000 or more, the 3% rate applies without a dollar ceiling.
Monthly close reporting: By the 5th of each following month, submit a 2-minute close report for any Preferred-elected leads that were active the prior month. A month with no Preferred-elected leads requires no report. Missing two consecutive reports suspends Preferred Partner eligibility.
Eligibility: Preferred Partner eligibility is granted at OLN's sole discretion by direct invitation — typically to contractors we already know or trust through prior work. There's no completed-lead threshold or objective criterion. Once eligible, the Preferred Accept button appears on every lead you receive; you decide per lead whether to use it.
Both tiers include exclusive lead delivery, free previews, 12-hour review window, and 48-hour dispute rights.
