OLN charges a flat referral fee when you Accept a lead. The fee is based on the homeowner's estimated job value and is set before you see the lead preview. You are never charged for leads you Pass on.

Every lead we send you shows two Accept buttons: Accept (Standard flat fee) and Accept as Preferred Partner (commission on close). Pick per lead — there's no requirement to be consistent. On Preferred-elected leads, you pay nothing at Accept and instead pay a single referral commission after the job closes, based on the final invoiced job value.

Cap: Referral commissions are capped at $1,500 per lead for jobs under $50,000. Above $50,000, commissions scale with job value in stepped bands, each with its own cap, so the fee continues to grow on larger projects while the rate tapers to protect contractor margins on the highest-value builds.

Custom home builds and new construction: Full custom home builds and ground-up new construction projects follow the same stepped commission table above based on final job value. Given typical 12–24 month build timelines for these projects, contractors may report progress on a quarterly cadence instead of monthly for any Preferred-elected custom-build lead, provided the project's active status is confirmed each quarter. All other Preferred Partner leads continue to follow the standard monthly close-reporting cadence.

Monthly close reporting: By the 5th of each following month, submit a 2-minute close report for any Preferred-elected leads that were active the prior month. A month with no Preferred-elected leads requires no report. Missing two consecutive reports suspends your ability to elect Preferred on new leads (existing Preferred-elected leads are unaffected).
